How to Stop Drowning and Start Rewriting Your Code (In Life)
A true story about a man who lost himself and how he came back stronger.
The Mirror Wasn’t Lying But I Was
There was a time I looked in the mirror and didn’t recognize the man staring back at me.
I had everything they told me to chase
A growing business.
A wife.
Three amazing kids.
But inside, fractured.
Depressed.
Disconnected.
Tired of pretending everything was fine.
Tired of being a “good man” but feeling like a ghost in my own life.
Pressure Will Break a Man Without a Code
You’ve been there....
You feel the pressure to provide, protect, and perform. But your soul is bone dry.
You’re juggling everyone else’s needs and breaking in the process.
I didn’t lose focus, I lost myself.
And once you lose your identity, it doesn’t matter how many goals you hit.
You feel like a fraud.
I turned to everything I could think of:
Therapy. Books. Podcasts. Religion. Mental health facilities. Social media.
But nothing stuck until I stopped looking outside and looked upward and inward.
I crashed. And That’s When I Heard It
I’m a father, a believer, former athlete, militant and a man once broken down to the studs.
About 6 years ago, I crashed out.
Business was out of control.
Marriage felt like a burden.
Fatherhood didn’t inspire me, it crushed me.
I was done.
I cried out asking for answers, looking for peace.
And it was like something clicked.
The voice wasn’t loud.
But it was clear:
“You already have everything you need. But you’ve forgotten how to use it.”
That was the beginning of the rebuild.
I stripped it all down.
Cut the noise. Cut the distractions.
Went plant-based. Killed the media feeds.
Entered what I call Modern Monk Mode (3M) — a deep detox of the mind, body, and soul.
What came out of that was a system.
A way of life.
A code.
I call it Attack The Day With Discipline (ATD).
Because discipline is a weapon.
And every day is a battle.
From Mental Prison to Daily Mission
Today, I’m not perfect but I’m locked in.
I live by a code that keeps me balanced as the architect of my household:
Mind
Body
Spirit
Family
Fitness
Business
I’ve helped other men get back in the fight.
Men like you former athletes, fathers, leaders who forgot what it feels like to lead yourself.
If any of this hits home, then you’re exactly who I built this for.
This Isn’t a Newsletter It’s a Field Manual
This is the ATD Letter — not fluff.
Not fake positivity.
Not another “10 steps to level up” guide you’ll never finish.
This is a field manual for men who want their edge back.
Inside these letters, I’ll send you what’s worked:
Habits
Tools
Mental frameworks
Nutrition
Training
Spiritual principles
Real conversations about pain, power, purpose, and pressure
And yes, we’re going to laugh, too.
Because you can be disciplined and still enjoy your life.
Joy is part of the grind.
